NOTES
Early hulls, which include molded stub keels, are solid fiberglass, while more recent versions are solid below the waterline and cored above.
A later version became the SNOWGOOSE ELITE (1986) had 1 foot more beam.
Prout Snowgoose 37 Elite (all iterations) was enormously popular with more than 500 built.

Prout Snowgoose 37 Elite built in 1989 A well equipped version of this popular cruising Catamaran that has been upgraded and invested in over the last few years. This is  a great cruising boat, a real bluewater boat. Unlike more modern cruising cats that boast double-digit speeds and hotel-like accommodations, the Snowgoose is renown for its rugged construction and seakindliness.

The boat was built to cross oceans. Somewhere around 500 boats have been built, and, although statements like this are impossible to confirm, I have been told that nearly 100 have completed circumnavigations.
This boat manages 7 knots in most conditions. It's not fast but it is consistent, and it doesn't need to be micromanaged, making it an ideal passagemaker unlike modern cats that rely on a huge, roachy mainsail, the Snowgoose goes best when the big genoa is drawing. Punching the boat upwind in choppy conditions leaves the cockpit dry, most water action stays below the bridgedeck.  One of the Snowgoose owners in the Azores told me that during two Atlantic crossings he has averaged 150 miles per day, and he was quick to add that he doesn't push the boat the ease of handling three smaller sails the cockpit instead of dealing with a large mainsail. With its flexible cutter rig, the boat  balances easily and handles well under autopilot.
Conclusion
The Snowgoose 37 is a solid, capable world cruiser with a proven track record. It may not be as flashy as newer-designed cruising cats, but when the ocean is in an unpleasant mood the last thing on your mind is flashiness.

It's designed for short-handed sailing which a cruising couple or single handed skipper would find it very easy to manage.

700 Prout catamarans have been built and 100+ boats have circumnavigated. The Snowgoose is one of the most successful production catamarans ever built.

The Snowgoose Elite was elected 17th place of 41 Best Catamarans built ever. By the magazine Cruising World.

Construction
The Snowgoose 37 is a heavyweight with a displacement of 11,000 pounds.

The hulls, which include molded stub keels are solid fiberglass.

The bridgedeck is also solid GRP that provides rigidity between the hulls which a single crossbar can’t match.
The bridgedeck is solid, and although this adds weight it also provides rigidity between the hulls that a single crossbar can't match.
While most cats rely almost entirely on modular construction, the Snowgoose 37 is built more traditionally with bulkheads and furniture facings securely tabbed to the hull

Control
The bulkhead-mounted wheel is to starboard in the cockpit.
Hydraulic steering

The low profile design offers unobstructed visibility from the helm, even with a full bimini and dodger enclosure.

All sail controls are led to the cockpit and there is a bulkhead-mounted Barient winch to hoist the main.

Reefing can be carried out without leaving the cockpit. Heavy weather sailing is extremely safe for a Snowgoose.
Layout
This Snowgoose 37 Elite has the family layout option which includes a full queen berth forward and one  spacious double cabin aft on starboard, on port is a large storage area with  the work bench, complete with  vice.
Another double berth can be created with the saloon table lowered.
